Awards
The following awards for Engineering Excellence in Engineering Design and Project Management have been presented to Norton Consultants Pty Ltd in recent years:
Citect Regional Excellence Award (VIC)
For Best Practise in Innovation in the Citect Customer Excellence Awards Program 2003-04, for the Hansa TCS Hydrant Leak Detection System project at Brisbane Airport, in Queensland.
Air BP Operational Excellence Award
For Innovation and excellence in project management and design for the Perth Airport Cross-Airport Pipeline project, completed in late 2001.
This award is jointly shared by all members of the Project Team, consisting of Norton Consultants Pty Ltd (design), Prosource Pty Ltd (project management) and Air BP (operations).
First Prize in the "Manufacturing Facilities" section of the IEAust Engineering Excellence Awards, Victorian Division, 1993, following the successful completion of the Aluminium Component Finishing Facility for ASTA Components (now a subsidiary of Boeing Aircraft Company).
This award specifically related to the ingenuity in design and selection of high-technology components for the Parts Transportation system (shown below) used to convey aluminium components between process tanks.
Second Prize in the "Engineering Project Management" section of the IEAust Engineering Excellence Awards, Victorian Division, 1993, for the above project.
This 'fast-track' project was completed on-time and under-budget. Initial decommissioning of the existing building to final commissioning and commencement of production in the new facility took less than nine months!
Second Prize in the "Manufacturing Facilities" section of the IEAust National Engineering Excellence Awards in 1994 in recognition of outstanding engineering design, for the above project.
