The U17 RMNA rep team had a strong showing at the Woodside Carnival, finishing 3rd overall and making it through to finals! With cool but calm conditions and some close games throughout the day, the improvement since Strath was clear to see.
Stronger connections and smart play saw the girls notch a solid win over Hills and push top teams right to the end. After a tight day of competition, they fell just short in the first final against Great Southern, going down by 5.

The U15 RMNA rep team kicked off the Woodside Carnival with a strong win over Trinity, thanks to full-court defensive pressure and sharp shooting, taking the match 25–9. A close battle followed against Hills, where some costly turnovers saw us edged out 11–14 despite solid defensive efforts.
Game three against Matrics saw a spirited comeback, but we went down 12–18. In round four, a slow start against Mid Hills gave them the edge as they took advantage of our errors, resulting in a 12–24 loss. Fatigue set in by the final match against Great Southern, and although the team fought hard to the end, they fell short 9–26.
While the scoreboard didn’t always reflect the effort, there were clear improvements in team connections and on-court chemistry since Strath. With those building blocks in place, we can’t wait to see what the team brings to Country Champs! 💙❤️💛
After a strong showing at the Jill May Carnival, our RMNA U13 rep team carried their momentum into the Woodside Carnival on Sunday. In chilly conditions and after an early setback with injury, the team dug deep—securing a draw, two solid wins, and pushing hard in every match.
Finishing 4th after the rounds, the girls earned a well-deserved spot in the finals, facing top-ranked Walkerville. Despite a valiant effort, Walkerville proved too strong on the day.
A huge effort from all players, showing resilience, teamwork, and determination. The team now sets their sights on the Country Championships over the June long weekend! 💙💛❤️
On Sunday 18th May, our RMNA 11 & Under team hit the court at the Mid Hills Carnival in Woodside. The girls gave it their all, finishing 5th with one strong win and a close 2-goal loss—just missing out on finals.
Their determination, teamwork, and positive attitude shone through every game, and it was fantastic to see all their hard work at training on display. The way the team supported each other and gelled on and off the court sets us up perfectly for the upcoming Country Champs on the June long weekend! 💙💛❤️
Strathalbyn
The Under 17s faced a challenging day at the Strathalbyn Netball Carnival, battling through some gusty conditions and fierce competition. Despite their best efforts and some tightly contested matches, the team was unable to secure a win, finishing the day in 6th place overall.
Throughout the carnival, the team came up against some strong opposition. They narrowly lost to Oakdale and Hills, each by just a single goal, showing their grit and determination right to the final whistle. Southern Stars proved to be a tough match, resulting in a 9-goal loss, while Great Southern and Mid Hills also managed to edge ahead with 12 and 4 goal wins respectively.
Despite the results, the team displayed some of their best netball against the stronger sides, which is a positive sign for the season ahead. A number of different combinations were trialled across the day, allowing players to adapt, learn, and grow in different roles on the court. There were some excellent passages of play, and plenty of moments to build on moving forward.
With valuable lessons learned and experience gained, the Under 17s are now looking ahead to their next opportunity to shine at the Woodside Carnival. We’re excited to see how this group continues to develop and improve in the coming weeks.
The Under 15s had a competitive and rewarding day at the Strathalbyn Netball Carnival, showing resilience, adaptability, and growth across all six matches. Although the team only secured one win, several games were closely contested, and the experience gained throughout the day was invaluable.
The carnival opened with a tough match against Oakdale, where both teams were neck and neck early on. Oakdale pulled ahead in the second quarter through strong defensive pressure, with RMNA going down 11–26. Game two against Southern Hills followed a similar pattern—an even first quarter was disrupted by missed opportunities, despite some excellent defensive work, resulting in a narrow 13–17 loss.
Great Southern Gold proved a challenging opponent in game three, taking control early and capitalising on turnovers to finish with a 16–20 win. Against Mid Hills, RMNA had a promising start, but simple errors proved costly, leading to a 12–28 defeat.
In game five against Hills, both teams came out firing, with scores locked at the break. A short lapse in the second half allowed Hills to gain momentum and edge ahead 16–21.
The final match against Great Southern Green saw the girls finish on a high. A strong start, backed by relentless defensive pressure and accurate shooting, saw RMNA take a four-goal lead at halftime. They continued that form into the second quarter to secure a well-earned 20–15 win.
Overall, it was a solid day of learning and growth. The girls adapted well to new combinations and began to gel as a team. With plenty of positives to build on, we’re looking forward to seeing their continued development and improvement at the upcoming Woodside Carnival.
After six months of training and preparation, the Under 13 RMNA representative team finally took to the court for their first carnival together at the Jill May Carnival—and what a fantastic debut it was!
The team kicked off the day with a confident win in their opening match, showcasing the skills, teamwork, and determination they’ve been building throughout the season. While they faced tough competition in their next two games, the girls remained focused and resilient.
With some players sidelined due to injury and illness, every team member had the chance to step up and contribute on court. Despite the hot and windy conditions, the team rallied to win two of their final three games—an impressive effort and testament to their fitness and spirit.
Finishing 4th overall on the day, it was a strong and promising first outing for the Under 13s. With plenty of positives to take forward, we’re excited to watch this team continue to grow and thrive throughout the season.
On Sunday, 4th May, the Under 11 RMNA team proudly represented at the Jill May Carnival in Strathalbyn, taking to the court for six exciting games. The team came away with two solid wins and finished 5th overall on the ladder—a fantastic effort!
Coaches Bianca and Nikky took the opportunity to rotate players through a variety of positions, allowing everyone to experience different roles on the court. Each player focused on achieving their personal goals in every game, and their hard work and determination really showed in their performances. The team displayed great netball skills, strong teamwork, and plenty of positive energy throughout the day.
Beyond the results, one of the highlights was seeing the girls bond and enjoy the day together after many weeks of training. The carnival provided a great chance for the team to put their skills into action, support one another, and simply enjoy playing the game they love.
A huge thank you to the parents who helped out with scoring and a special shout-out to Zoe, who did an incredible job umpiring all day. The team is already looking forward to their next outing at the Woodside Carnival in two weeks’ time!
